This website is available to you to describe some of the most common urological disorders and diseases Dr. Barry Farber and Dr. Tom Pearson manage and treat in their practice. Dr. Farber and Dr. Pearson are adult and pediatric urologists.
Unlike the majority of physicians practicing in Springfield, Dr. Farber and Dr. Pearson remain independent physicians as their medical/surgical practice is not owned or operated by a healthcare organization. This independent status allows our patients the choice of healthcare facilities should a hospitalization become necessary.
Dr. Farber and Dr. Pearson are affiliated with Primrose Healthcare Systems. They are also Medicare providers which means they accept the amount Medicare allows on a procedure and the 80% Medicare reimbursement. The remaining 20% is payable by the patient or the patient's secondary insurance. They are preferred providers for several health care plans including CHCS, UHC, BCBS and Cigna to name a few.
We file all insurance claims electronically. Patients with insurance coverage are responsible for the amount remaining toward their deductible, co-insurance, or co-pay. This amount will be collected at the time of service. Private pay patients are required to pay in full at the time of service. For your convenience, we accept major credit cards.
This Map describes our location. Our doctors have active staff privleges at Cox Health Systems, North and South; St. John's Regional Healthcare Center; and the Surgery Center of Springfield. The doctors also see patients at their satellite clinics in Aurora, Mt. View and Lockwood. The Springfield office is designed to provide minor outpatient procedures such as cytoscopy, vasectomy, and prostate biopsies.
Staff members are available to assist your medical needs. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and a doctor is available for emergencies 24 hours a day.
